Serena Kern-Libera
Serena Kern-Libera

Serena grew up in Tamil Nadu, India. She studied law at the London School of Economics, following which she worked as a Corporate M&A lawyer for several years at magic circle firm Slaughter and May. She now works as Lead Trade Policy Adviser at the Bank of England. Serena is also a school governor.
When not at work, you can find Serena in the recording studio. Serena has built a successful career in the music industry, with her music a regular feature on the BBC radio and Music Week Charts.

Carina Kern
Carina Kern

Carina grew up in Tamil Nadu, India. She is currently completing a PhD at the Institute of Healthy Ageing, UCL and is working on understanding ageing disease through genetics and evolutionary biology. She previously focused on light-harvesting in plants using quantum chemistry and theoretical physics. She is also Scientific Chair of the global CleanTech Challenge for student startups and president of the London Evolutionary Research Network. When not working you can find Carina on the tennis courts.

Hui Hua
Hui Hua

Hui Hua is a capital markets lawyer at the US firm White & Case. Prior to that she worked at the English firm Norton Rose Fulbright.

Hui was born and raised in mainland China. At the age of 15 she ventured to the UK on her own to pursue her education. After completing her A-levels at a school in Southampton, she moved to London for further studies. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from LSE and a Master’s Degree in International Business Law from UCL.

Hui loves travelling, kickboxing and fashion. She is also a proud new mum to a baby girl!

Adi Alfa
Adi Alfa

Adi grew up in Liverpool. She studied Drama at Liverpool John Moores University and is now a professional actress, presenter, writer and director.

Adi has won numerous awards for acting including an award for Outstanding Achievement in African Cinema (NAFCA) in 2014.

She is CEO of a successful production company, which she runs with her husband. She is also proud mother to a baby girl!

Natasha Chan
Natasha Chan

Natasha Chan is a financial restructuring lawyer at Sidley Austin. Prior to working at Sidley Austin, she worked at magic circle firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Natasha was born and grew up in Brunei. She moved to London for university and studied law at the London School of Economics.

After graduating from university she did a Masters in international law and human rights law. She is still involved with human rights related projects on a pro bono basis. In her spare time she plays netball, goes rock climbing, and also takes singing lessons!

Mahsa Mogharrab
Mahsa Mogharrab

Mahsa was born and raised in Iran and moved to London in 2016 as she wanted a new challenge and to experience life outside Iran. She is a Fintech/ E-commerce professional with an Executive MBA degree. She is very passionate about Technology and Finance and how these intersect with day-to-day life.

Mahsa loves to cook and when not in the office she is often delighting friends with traditional Iranian recipes.

Nina Lazic
Nina Lazic

Nina was born in Serbia, but she grew up across New Zealand, Australia and England. After studying law at the London School of Economics, Nina trained and qualified as a lawyer. Nina now works in the commercial litigation team at Osborne Clarke, specialising in resolving disputes between large companies.

In addition to her day job, Nina is a member of Osborne Clarke’s gender diversity committee and pro bono committee (which looks at how Osborne Clarke can provide free legal advice to those who need it).

Outside of work, Nina loves exploring new parts of London and going on long walks!

Hiba Siddique
Hiba Siddique

Hiba works in the Financial Stability division of the Bank of England.

Hiba was born and raised in the U.K. to Pakistani parents. Having a father who was a doctor, she moved around a lot as child – living everywhere from Ireland to Yorkshire, Somerset to Essex.

Hiba attended University College London, and has been in London ever since.

She enjoys travelling, cycling, and drawing (and if she wasn’t working at the Bank she would have become an illustrator)
